I was the more approachable person on my shift, and every patron I interacted with was left smiling and satisfied. My mother was hospitalized due to pancreatic cancer and I was penalized for being a caring son. My requests were denied sure to a stupid point system. Why didn't I transfer? I tried, multiple times. What you COULD find, however, were a bunch of unapproachable suits that gave off an obnoxious stench. Recognition was hardly awarded to the hard-working employees, the wrong people were getting promoted, and the 'family environment' that was promised and assured at launch was nowhere to be found. Being there since late March/early April, I was one of the senior members.
There wasn't a thing I wouldn't do for the company while employed with them. I must admit that I was probably the most customer oriented member of my department. Everyone just wants to have a good time and when a little bit of money, and yes, we still had things to do after close and were oftentimes operating underduress/strict timelines, but kindness can go a long way. Nobody really goes to a casino to start drama. I was lighthearted as I had the belief that the patrons were visiting us when they could have easily gone elsewhere. When the company was still closing at 2a and 4a, I was one of those responsible for 'pushing' people out.
